Lent at Dauphin Way

God Still Speaks

As we walk together through the season of Lent, there are three ways that you can participate.

Our Lenten worship series, God Still Speaks, is about the gifts that God has given us for discerning God’s will. Each week will consider a different aspect of “the Wesleyan Quadrilateral” – scripture, tradition, experience & reason — with an additional week devoted to the church’s dual call to unity and holiness. In addition to Sunday worship, we are offering a devotional guide with daily prayers and scripture readings. Copies of the devotional guide are available on Dauphin Way’s campus, or you can sign-up to receive the reading via email here.

Alongside this worship series, Rev. Michael Precht will offer a companion class, In Good Faith, to offer in-depth teaching about how faithful Christians — who use the same criteria — continue to disagree about homosexuality. This class will be offered twice each week; participants may attend at 5PM on Sundays, or at 11:30AM on Thursdays. You can register for either session here.

Last, but definitely not least, we are taking a special offering on behalf of our ministry partners in the Mobile community. For decades, Dauphin Way has supported such diverse ministries as Dumas Wesley, the Mobile Inner City Mission, Waterfront Rescue Mission, Dwell Refugee outreach, and the Metro Jail Ministry. If you are fasting for Lent, we encourage you to set aside the money you would have spent each week and give it to this special offering so that we can bless these ministry partners.
